We specialise in well being and creative workshops.
This new project led by artist Luminara Florescu invited members of the public to commune with the spirits inside Shepton Mallet Prison in Somerset, one of the UK’s most haunted buildings.
The project explored the techniques used by members of the spiritualist movement first originating in the US as documented by artist Shannon Taggart in her book Seance.
While exploring the 400 year old building, Luminara guided participating members of the public in techniques using digital technology, automatic writing and deviation tools to conduct their own paranormal investigation. The words and images they captured will be used to build a case file and develop a story of a fictional (or maybe real) person connected to the prison now communicating from the Other Side .
This one day online course was funded by Somerset Skills & Learning and ran by Hearthstone Ways’ Creative Director Luminara Florescu. The course aimed to demystify arts funding for artists and creatives so that they can feel more confident in finding the right funding for their own practice or projects.
Our ‘Pathways to Happiness’ project 2022 began with ‘The Happy Spirit’ course run by Luminara Florescu and a series of workshops ‘Making with Herbs’ run by Guinevere King.
A series of photography workshops exploring the basic skills of composition and framing in photography. Participants will be provided with free entry into the former Shepton Mallet Prison where we will explore taking photos with a more creative feel. You will have the opportunity to take your own pictures with feedback and practical tips given by the workshop tutor Jason King
A collaboration between artist, Luminara Florescu and herbalist, Guinevere King, participants were introduced to Creative Wellbeing through mindfulness, sensory, and fun creative exercises using beautiful herbal teas as inspiration.
The project was an invitation to find a few moments of stillness and creative play.
‘Open Circles’ 2020 is a project involving a series of online invitations. The project is funded by SS&L and offers high quality Creative Development and Wellbeing through Meditation, Mindfulness, Vision Journeys, Creative Writing, and Sound based activities.
